On my Radar for Spring 2019: Demon Slayers, Time Traveling Lolis, Isekai Hijinks, Sexy Teachers and a Fruit Basket

Hey Guys

Winter 2019 has ended and we’ve moved on to Spring 2019. There a bunch of animes coming out and not enough time to get em all. So after the cut let’s get into the handful of series I have on my radar this Spring!

It’s the Spring of Tragedy and Titties

Kimiestu no Yaiba

Kimetsu no Yaiba
Getting Blue Exorcist Vibes here

My Initial Thoughts: With Ufotable doing the animation, this show was pretty much a must-watch for me. A grim and gritty story mixed up with classic anime school hijinks, I’m getting a feeling it’s gonna be very similar to Blue Exorcist which I was very “meh’ about. However it’s Ufotable doing it, and they’ve earned so much goodwill with all their Fate adaptations, so let’s see what they can do.

Nobunaga-sensei no Osanazuma

Nobunaga-sensei no Osanazuma
Shorties helping Shorties

My Initial Thoughts: It’s only short episodes of 15 minutes each, but it’s got some ecchi in it, and that always makes me give it a good look. No idea how this is going to turn out, but we’ll have to see!

Isekai Quartet

Isekai Quartet
Best Crossover of all Time

My Initial Thoughts: Having a bunch of Isekai leads come together for some cutely animated hijinks? I’m absolutely in. Overlord, Konosuba, and ReZero are some of the best Isekais on the market today, and there is that fourth one I’ve never watched. Either way, this is probably gonna be meme central.

Nande Koko Sensei ga!? (Why are you here Teacher?)

Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?
The Great Oppai Hope

My Initial Thoughts: This is probably the big ecchi title of the year so far, and its manga version is notorious for its fanservice. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the anime has it. With an uncensored version already confirmed, I think we’re all gonna a have a good time.

Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket (2019)
Haven’t seen an actual Fruit Basket Yet

My Initial Thoughts: I’ve heard about this series for years, but never looked at it. Fruits Basket is apparently an important series in the Shoujo genre and a fan favorite for a generation of fans. While it was already adapted in 2001, this version serves as a true to manga adaptation in the veins of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. I am curious to see what all the fuss is about!

  1. I’m watching Demon Slayer, Fruits Basket, and Fairy Gone. Already seen first episode of the first two. They were both very good. Waiting for Fairy Gone today.
