On my Radar for Fall 2020: The eight episode check-in!

Fall 2020 is getting near the now, and we are in the last quarter of the seasonal series! How are they holding up after eight episodes? Let’s see what’s on my radar after the cut!

Avec Perspective : YUI's Recommended Watch: Anime Of Fall 2012 Desktop Background

Higurashi: When They Cry – New

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2020)
The best life teenagers and preteens can have.

My thoughts after eight episodes: This show has changed to be more an additional sequel than remake, but I’m happy either way. Higurashi is a great work and is able to switch from horror to thriller quite well. If the show is going to show more of the possible outcomes in the bloody way it always does? Well so far it hasn’t gone wrong.

STATUS: Nipaaaaaa

Golden Kamuy Season 3

Golden Kamuy 3rd Season
Border crossing never felt so gay

My thoughts after eight episodes Golden Kamuy will always be one of the most unique and never before seen anime of it’s time, and probably for a very long time. It’s just something you have to watch, and what I’ve seen so far hasn’t let me down in the slightest

STATUS: Survived a sniper shot to the head.

Better romance than Twilight

My thoughts after eight episodes: This webtoon anime has already been the best out of the three offered because it is so bland and by the book. What is on screen is nothing new or special, but it’s just what I needed after the last two shows where either over-hyped or just plain bad. Noblesse is a good story and good is more than great for Webtoons right now.

The Journey of Elaina

Majo no Tabitabi
Will probably get more hate that Redo of Healer

My thoughts after eight episodes: Elaina is a story about life, the good, the bad, the terrifying, the boring, the comedic. While some have turned away from the show, I’ve loved every single minute. It’s not anime of the year, but it is a damn good runner-up. I look forward to getting into this show on the blog when it is finished.

STATUS: Show me your feet, Elaina-sama……

Jutjutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Key Visual : anime
Seriously, don’t over-hype this.

My thoughts after eight episodes: A late-comer to the list, but a welcome one. Kaisen reminds me of Bleach at its best, and is another shonen series that a lapsed fan like myself has really enjoyed. Nothing special, nothing new, but something polished exceptionally well, with great music, and many of the learned lessons from shonen’s past. Don’t let people over-hype it as the next big shonen. Just hope that it is able to stick it’s landing.

  1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw that Bleach comparisons, in a positive way, to Jujutsu Kaisen as well. It’s been a positive throw back kind of series that I’m glad exists.
