How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Volume 11: Rem’s MILF-tastic Aunt gives Diablo a blow-job.

Our look at the light novels of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord continues! There are only two volumes left of the English publications, and stuff continues to happen! Just this time with sexy cat and fox girls? Let’s get into the next chapter after the cut!

When we last left off, Diablo had left to go see a king after fucking up and then saving a school from a monster. Now with that job finished, he has reunited with Shera and Rem and gone on yet another trip (on the request of that king) and ends up in the middle of a war between the neighboring kingdom and a tribe of fox people who just want to have their mating orgies in peace. As usual there are plenty of lewd situations, a lot of spell casting, and Rem once again getting upset about something. I’m not lying about that Fox orgy either. It’s a great moment, and while it doesn’t go the distance, it is showing just how lewd that story is becoming, and the reactions of Diablo and co is a great one. Fennely, the nominal fox girl of the tribe leaves it all the table.

Demon Lord keeps pushing the envelope of its ecchi, but does finally start crossing lines this volume.

I’m not kidding about that. Eleven volumes in now, and it is quite clear that out of the two main female characters Rem is the more important character. Shera really has been a background force throughout several of the volumes, and while it hasn’t been bad, she is more comic relief, it has been surprising just how much Rem has been the focus. That continues here, as we see the revelation that Diablo accidently married Shera and Rem to each other bear fruit. Rem, the more sensitive one doesn’t take it well, and the B-plot of the story is Diablo attempting to make peace. This is also wrapped up in Rem finally accessing her quasi-demon lord power, thanks to a horn given by Klem, which makes her look more scantily clad that usual.

Demon Lord has always love those itty-bitty thongs and I’ll for it.

Now I like Rem, I think she’s a fun character and her vocal performance in the English dub was a great one, but I won’t deny that this constant focus on her feelings and place in the plot has gotten a little bit grating. I do enjoy that she and Diablo make peace and decide to get married for real, it shows that Diablo is developing his character and being more comfortable around the girls. I just think the story is starting to run the risk of making things the ‘Rem’ show, which pulls away from the other good characters in the extended cast. I want more Lumachina, Klem, and remember Rafflesia? What happened to her, I want more of those titties!

Thankfully, in terms of ecchi, Demon Lord finally decides to skip the petting and head right into the foreplay, thanks in no small part to Rem’s aunt Solami. In what is a truly brilliant scene that merges fanservice with a training arc, we see Diablo learn to manage his inner chi (or glow) by the only true way one can: having your dick sucked by a milf cat-girl. I was quite surprised that the story went this way, but I was more amused by the fact that the story won’t just say the words ‘cock’ or ‘dick’ but actually censors them with dots! It’s so strange to see the normal text and then “wow, your **** is so big!” I mean, we know what is fucking happening here guys, you don’t need to shield the words from us. Regardless it was great to see the ecchi finally step outside it’s comfort zone and I hope that this is the sign of things to come. Again, we are eleven volumes in now, I think it’s time we start seeing some fun-stuff being touched.

Thank god someone finally sucked Diablo’s dick is all I can say.

Volume 11 of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord is more of what you expect, and by now, you are either on board completely or starting to get a bit annoyed. I’m not annoyed yet, but I also will admit that I wish the story would put more spotlight on other characters. Demon Lord was never a ‘serious’ story, but even a non serious story can feel like its spinning its wheels after awhile. Still, the characters are fun, the prose is to the point, and if anything, the ecchi keeps progressing. There is now only one volume left in English for me to look at, and I hope you’ll stop by and give it a look!

One thing that has never changed is how damn great the color pages are.
