Hey guys.
It’s been awhile since I’ve looked back at the blog, and since then I’ve talked about a lot of stuff, and made it through some of my lists. So I think it is time to come back, do some housekeeping and lay out what the plans are for the spring and the summer! Let’s get into it after the cut!

Schedule and Feast/Famine
I never actually set out a schedule of how I do my blog posts. I just sort of fell into it, and kept going out of habit. For those who may not know, this is how a week seems to go at Shallow Dives.
Monday: Don’t @ Me ((unless it is a slow week))
Tuesday: Blog Post
Wednesday: Tune of the Week(ish)
Thursday: Blog Post
Friday: Nothing
Saturday: Blog Post
Sunday: Nothing.
This has done well for me about 2 and a half years in, and I’m going to keep at it, however I’m also very aware of burnout, and I really want to avoid it. You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting on some Saturdays, and that is part of it. Sometimes I just don’t have a post in my head yet, and other times I want to take a bit of a break. More importantly though, I’ve noticed that often times there is a ‘feast/famine’ wave on the blog, days where I have too many series to talk about, (mostly at the end of a season) and days I have little.
I want to make sure I always have something in my back pocket, as I have a full-time career and don’t have time to binge series after series. So I’ll edit this schedule as I see fit and hopefully that will help with some of the dry spells.
Taking Next, Next Week off
In lieu of that, after next week, I’ll be taking another week off. Not out of burnout, but just some time to catch up on some series, get a few posts ready in my head, and let the brain stretch a bit. Also with The Summer of Love III starting in June, I want to make sure I’m ready for it.
Hentai Posts
I’ve fallen off the wagon on these, for two reasons. Hentai reviews are difficult to write, because you can only really talk about so much. And the fact that I do use these as ‘filler’ posts in between dry spells, unless I got one that really speaks to me. That being said, I want to get back on these, and one should be coming soon.
Future Posts
Since my last list, I’ve made good headway in the series I want to watch. Some of the list has been replaced, others have moved up. Again I’m not married to these lists, and often they are constantly changing, but I have tried my best to get as much of it done as I can. That being said, I’ve got a new roadmap for posts that you can expect in the near and far future. Of course, new stuff may slip in as it normally does.

Of course things always change, new shows come and go, and sometimes more time or less is given to me. I do think I can get at least 70% of this done, sans the Long-term projects but we’ll see.
As always my heartfelt thanks to Crow, Irina, Lynn, Scott, Yomu and Pete for always liking or sharing my posts and welcoming my comments. A big thanks goes to fellow bloggers as Jon Spencer, iniksbane and infinitezenith for always being there for chat or comment. I hope you’ve all been enjoying the blog as much as I enjoy working on it. Make sure to follow me on Twitter at @ShallowDivesAni if you aren’t already.
Infinite Stratos? I’m really looking forward to your review of it. For whatever reason, I really like that show, even though the MC is painfully dense. I mean, it pushes the envelop!
Asterisk War, too. Are you sure you’re going to review it for real this time? I still chuckle when I think about your April Fool’s post…
The character in Asterisk War really clicked for me. To this day, some of my reviews still end up in my daily top 10. No clue why, but I’m grateful!
And To Love-Ru? I’m really curious to get your take on Momo!

Yes, all long term projects that I’ll get to when I can. I own Stratos on blu ray, (even got the ultimate collector’s for season 2 for pennies!) and I’ve watched it before. I loathe that main character, but the girls and the solid dub make that show.
As for Asterick War, I gotta see if it really is the same as Failed Knight, and To Love-Ru is the grand-daddy of the ecchi genre. I tried it a bit before, but i wasn’t in the mood, going to try again for sure.
