For the last two years, I have undergone a summer project. I dive into a series, going into every aspect of its seasons, main characters and give my thoughts on the journey from start to finish. The first time I revisited one of my favorite series of all time: High School DxD, and next year I took a look at the remarkably solid Date A Live.
For the third year, I am once again looking into another series, one that I’ve been planning to do since probably the first year. With that I am proud to reveal The Summer of Love III, which will be about a series that all Fate fans know, love, or at least tolerate.
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya
I have been on record as being a die-hard fate fan, and I also a big fan of the character of Illyasveil von Einzbern. I own multiple figurines, and have always enjoyed the character. Fate/Illya places her not only in the spotlight, but sends her on an adventure that is full of humor, action, good laughs, and eyebrow raising moments thanks to Kuro. It is a series I first watched during my initial months on the blog, and while I stand by those thoughts, enough time has past since I have looked at it, that I want to revisit again. Also, four seasons and a movie fits well into the timeline of The Summer of Love.
So starting through June and running until the end of August. Shallow Dives in Anime will be going through all four seasons, as well as the movie. I’ll discuss each six episode arc, the central characters, the music,, and of course, Kuro. I’ve been looking forward to doing this all year, and I look forward to stepping back into this world and asking the simple question.
“Is Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya a good addition to the Fate world, and why?
I hope you will all join me in this little adventure, and what is probably an extremely overblown look into a show that starts being kinda yuri, then goes REALLY yuri, then suddenly remembers it is a Fate show and has some of the best action this side of Ufotable.
