On my Radar for Fall 2021: The Three Episode Check-in!

World’s End Harem might have been pulled at the last freaking minute, but there is still plenty to watch as Fall 2021 gets started. It’s been three weeks, and it’s time to see what’s happening with the things on my radar. Check out my three episodes thoughts after the cut!

Jobless Reincarnation Second Cour

My thoughts after 3 episodes: Jobless wasted no time getting right back into its story, and it’s been nothing but fucking fantastic. Everything else I can say I’ve already said. This IS the anime of the year, and the best thing Isekai has done since the first season of ReZero. Let’s hope it stays that way.

STATUS: Just chilling out in a cage, nude.

Komi Can’t Communicate

My thoughts after 2 episodes: So far, this show has lived up to the hype. Cute as a button, full of wholesome moments, and talking about social disorders without coming off as a pandering mess. Komi will no doubt be on many end of years best lists, and there is little reason to not see why.

STATUS: Writing on a chalkboard.

86: Eighty-Six Second Cour

My thoughts after three episodes: 86 continues to do what has been done before, but does really fucking well. Other shows would have collapsed in on themselves, or descended into pandering about this or that high minded idea. 86 keeps it eye on the prize and the shift of focus to Shin and his friends is a welcome change. This still remains the most ‘solid and safe’ series this year.

STATUS: Hanging with the Mascot.

Banished from the Hero’s Party

My thoughts after three episodes: Banished has been forgettable fantasy fun in the best way. It’s a cute world, a cute premise, and has a girl whose boobs are too big for this show. Those are all check-marks for me and while it doesn’t dethrone Saint’s Magic by a mile, it’s still something I’m tuning in to watch. Let’s see if that continues.

STATUS: Wondering if I should open a bra shop.
