The final season of anime in 2021 is rapidly coming to a close, which means it is time to once again check on what’s on my radar! Plenty to get to, so let’s get into the eight episode check-in after the cut!
Jobless Reincarnation Second Cour
My thoughts after eight episodes: I have nothing really more to say that I haven’t said before. Jobless is still amazing, still gripping and still the best anime that no one will give a proper award to. If you love Isekai, you need to be watching this show.
STATUS: Talking about models to save my life.
Banished from the Hero’s Party
My thought after eight episodes: This show never should have been this enjoyable. What was though to be a disposable nothing show has turned out to be fun and endearing story in a generic world but with un-generic characters. With a romance that respects the viewers time, some very shocking moments and enough cleavage to shake a spoon at, Banished from the Hero’s Party is a wonderful surprise.
Komi Can’t Communicate
My thoughts after five episodes: Komi has been a joy to watch, and something that really never deserved to be in Netflix jail. Because of that it feels like a show that has gone VERY under the radar, considering the amount
STATUS: Making cute googly eyes.
86: Eighty-Six Second Cour
My thoughts after eight episodes: 86 rocks the bronze medal like no one else. This new arc has been able to shift the story to the soldiers and expand the world in a meaningful and interesting way. It still isn’t anything special, but probably the most polished version of itself it could be.
STATUS: Flying a low-altitude jet.
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc
My thoughts after five episodes: I was lukewarm on the Demon Slayer movie, feeling it just didn’t make the jump to a feature film strong enough. I’m surprised that making it into an anime series has made it far more enjoyable. Seeing as an episodic series just feels right, even with a shorter run. I look forward to the ending, just with hopefully less crying.
STATUS: Hanging with the bestest boy Inosuke.
