It’s Monday, which means it is time for this! Welcome back to Don’t @ Me! The place where, like all things in life, we make mistakes and have to fix them, and I give my thoughts, views and opinions on everything in the manga and anime world. This week it’s a nice long break and I’ve got some shit to shoot, let’s get into it.

- So the Oscars were last night, and it seems like the awards were actually pretty fair in who won what. I don’t care much for Hollywood, but it was great to see the people winning who really fucking deserved it.
2. Seems the ‘discourse’ has been ragging on Eighty-Six a bit, and I am little surprised. That was a pretty damn good show with some great leads and an actual “check your privilege’s’ plot that feels earned and well thought out. It could have gone in several bad directions, Lena’s journey threaded that fine line.
3. I’ve coming to a point where I really can’t dislike any specific anime anymore. There are shows that I didn’t care for, ones that I wish had done this or that idea better (Food Wars and Fairy Tail are good examples), but outright hating a show? Yeah I don’t know if I can do that anymore. There just isn’t any point to it? Why even bother? I have no clicks to chase or point to make.
4. On the opposite side of point 2, I was glad to see several Anitubers coming out to praise The Eminence in Shadow. I talked a bit about this last week, but that show deserves to be praised and lauded for how good it is. Trashy anime? Oh fuck yeah, but as they say, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
5. Anyone ever try Xenoblade? I heard good things about it, but it seems like a massive thing to get into.
6. I think there is way too fucking much crying in Demon Slayer. Like have you gone back and watched those first two seasons? So much crying, like an inordinate amount of crying. It gets a little insufferable.
Once you accept that “The Eminence in Shadow” is not about your usual virtuous protagonist it gets entertaining. Dude is sketchy.

That’s where the humor comes from, he’s so cringe.

I can never really hate Fairytail cause it’s a show I basically grew up with, but elements of it have definitely not aged the best compared to other big Shonen action series.

I didn’t grow up with it, but I bet I feel the same towards Naruto and Bleach the way you feel towards that show. Every generation has that anime.
