I wasn’t intending to come back to this series unless it was reviewing the Light Novels. However I’ve been watching anime with a friend and I knew that Goblin Slayer would be something he enjoyed. So we sat down and re-watched the series once more and I figured I got a bit more to say. So after the cut, let’s take a re-dive into the series: Goblin Slayer!

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to get up, not go to school, and get on with our lives. Welcome to Don’t @ Me, the place that unlike, stupid criticisms of Sword Art Online, I think for ten seconds before giving you my thoughts on anime, manga and the like. I got a breakfast to go to, but before I run out with toast in my mouth, here is some random shit I wanted to talk about.
Our look at the light novel of Goblin Slayer continues! We are at the fifth volume now, and the story is once again starting to kick into high gear. No more short-stories or slice of life hijinks here, it is straight up goblin slaying, so let’s pack up our gear, warm up our dice, and get into the fifth volume of Goblin Slayer, after the cut!

I decided that instead of ping ponging between three different stories like I had been, I would instead focus on one at a time. Having just finished our look at How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord, I decided it that this would be next! Let’s not waste anytime, and after the cut dive into the fourth volume of Goblin Slayer.

While 2020 has started, I’ve been meaning to provide an easy place where you can find some of my favorite blog posts I’ve done in the last year. This winter, thanks to a great sale from Rightstuf, I’ve purchased several light novel including How not to Summon a Demon Lord, Overlord, If it’s for my Daughter I’d Defeat even a Demon Lord, and of course Goblin Slayer. Before this, the only experience I had with light novels was horrible (and I mean HORRIBLE) translations of things like High School DxD. So now with official translations out to read and thanks to a great sale, I decided to bite the bullet and get into Light Novels proper. You can expect more reviews on all of these as the year goes on and beyond. So join me after the cut as I dive into the first two volume of Goblin Slayer.

Goblin Slayer has been a surprise hit among anime fans, harking back to the days of Berserk style shows where the gore, violence and settings don’t have an Isekai in sight. It was no doubt that a show like Goblin Slayer would be popular, but the level of enjoyment people got from this show was rather surprising, as was the “controversy”
But we aren’t here to talk about that, instead I want to talk about the titular lead of the show and what makes him so unique in the era of anime leads. Join me after the cut as I take a Character Dive into the main character of Goblin Slayer: The Goblin Slayer
Goblin Slayer was one of the great hits of last year, a dark and thrilling fantasy adventure without a hint of isekai in sight. Love it hate it, Goblin Slayer helped proved that anime can dish out some good old sword and sorcery when needed. So this week’s tune of the week(ish) is the opening them of Goblin Slayer: Rightfully by Mili.
