Our look at the volumes of If It’s for my Daughter, I’d Defeat Even a Demon Lord continues! It has been a long while since I revisited this series. With holidays, other anime and plenty of other distractions. Getting this series done has been a problem. Still we are one volume closer now and it is time to talk about it! After the cut let’s take a dive into the third volume and see what’s happening!
Our look at the light novels of If it’s for my Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord continues! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve looked at these books. My apologies for that, I had several other light novels on my plate, and I wanted to wait until I had the whole series in my hands before starting it again. While these won’t be a regular thing (I drag my feet on reading these), I am committed to getting through the entire series. Either way, last time we left of, Latina had been found and adopted by Dale, adorable things happened and she ripped off her horn! It was a solid opening to what I’ve heard is a really adorable little story, until it goes decides to go the way most anime fans expect. Anyway, let’s get into the second volume after the cut!
My look at light novels continues with yet another series I have purchased. I really enjoyed the anime If It’s For my Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord. Yet I knew that it was probably going to be an anime that would never get a second season. Knowing that, and curious about how the story would shift into its more…interesting story-lines later. I decided to pick up the entire series in Light novel format. So how does the series hold up? Well join me after the cut as I dive into the first volume of If It’s For my Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord.
The Demon Lordlight novel series ends up going in the direction where Latina starts aging up rather quickly, ends up marrying Dale and having a family with him. It’s there, it happens, it’s part of the story. But since the 12 episode season has next to NO foreshadowing or hinting of what is to come, I’m going to be judging the story based on the anime, not on its light novel series. You might think other wise, that’s your choice and I get if where the series goes turned you away from it. That’s not a wrong view to have. But lets also be honest here. This isn’t going to get a second season, so none of that is ever going to be adapted.
Right then, after the cut let’s talk about the absolute sleeper anime hit of the season: If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Defeat Even a Demon Lord.
The Summer Season is staring to wind down and the anime of the seasons are reaching their zenith. So far Summer has been a decently strong run, with some good shows that have surprised me. Let’s get into my thoughts on these shows, eight episodes in, after the cut!
The Summer season has begun and there have been several shows that have I started watching. My list from the last post has changed alot since then, having dropped both Vinland Saga due to it being on Amazon and not bothering to look at Arifureta due to people saying it was just horrible. That being said, there is still plenty to look at, so join me after the cut as I give you my thoughts: three episodes in!
