Sitting down with Infinite Zenith: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

Earlier this year, I re-watched and blogged about the series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, a show by all accounts I loved a lot growing up. Going back to it I found it was still a great piece of entertainment. My friend Infinite Zenith thought so as well, and we’ve recently sat down and a had a real back and forth on the series. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: More than Meets the Eye

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED is a special series in my heart. I loved it as a kid, loved as I grew up, and when I went back to see if it still held up, I still loved it. While most Gundam fans have a mixed view on the show, it remains, in my mind, a great piece of anime. A story of people thrust into a war, who either sink or swim, a story about the arrogance of humanity, the rush to perfect. And most of all, a show where awesome looking robots shoot laser beams at each other. The HD remaster brought polish to a series that, while suffering from some issues, is still able to hold up today. If you are a mecha fan, absolutely check out this show. Tune of the Week(ish): Gundam Seed’s Realize

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED’s Flay Allster: The girl who didn’t belong

I finally got around to this, and it’s about time! 

Re-watching Mobile Suit Gundam SEED was fun for many reasons, but one of the more enjoyable, and surprising things, is how much I enjoyed the character of Flay Allster. She was someone I had barely paid attention to in my previous re-watches, but for some reason I just found myself really drawn to her this time around. After thinking it over for a while, I knew that this was something I wanted to talk about, so after the cut let’s take a dive into Gundam SEED’s Flay Allster!

Over the last few months I’ve been taking a look at the HD remaster of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. I’ve examined the series arc by arc, breaking down my thoughts and views on what has been (and probably always will be) a series that divides fans. Now that we’ve done that, I want to give you my final personal thoughts on the series after the cut. Let’s get into it.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Episodes 39-44: The Revelations of Mendel
