Oresuki: Are you the only one who loves me?: Ambitiously Ambiguous

Shallow Dives in Anime was a blog that came from my desire to talk about anime, specifically the harem genre, which I had been heavily indulging in at the time. While we’ve expanded things here to other anime genres, harem anime is always something that will be discussed on her. I love the genre to death, and it has some of my favorites series of all time.

I’ve also said though, that Harem needs to have a series that throws a bit of shade on it’s own premise, very much like what ReZero did to the Isekai genre. I don’t know if this series is the one that has done it, but we are going to discuss it nonetheless. Join me after the cut as I dive into the series Oresuki: Are you the only one who loves me?

Tune of the Week(ish): Oresuki: Papapa by Shuka Saito

If anything, I’m going to always credit Oresuki for attempting to take the Harem genre in new directions and trying something. I don’t know if it all works in the end, this is a show that I need to watch to it’s conclusion, but hey, the opening theme is fun. The Tune of the Week is the show’s opening theme: Papapa by Shuka Saito

On My Radar for Fall 2019: The (Mostly) Eight Episode Check-In!

The Fall season and the final run for 2019 is nearing it’s end. The decade is going to close on a decent note, as the last part of the year has delivered some solid anime so far, and I’ve been enjoying it far more than the rest of what 2019 has offered. We are eight episodes in and it’s time to once again give you my thoughts on what I’m watching. Check it out after the cut!

On my Radar for Fall 2019: The (Mostly) Three Episode Check-In!

The Fall season is chugging along and it has been a rather surprising run so far. With several great shows that are picking up the slack for a rather off year, though after the all around banner one 2018 was, perhaps we are just being a bit too hard. Either way it’s been almost three episodes now for most shows and I’m here to let you know what my thoughts are! I’ve added a few more to the list as well so join me after the cut!
