Every now and then I’ll pick up a series out of nowhere, which is different than how I usually watch things. Most of the time I plan things out like with my seasonal watches, or revisit a series I heard was good, or been meaning to get to watching. It is actually very rare for me to just randomly start watching an unknown anime. A little weird I know, but it’s just how I do things.
Yet when I do end up rolling the dice and taking a gamble (heh) on the unknown, I normally come up quite strong. Today’s series is another one of those. So join me after the cut as we take a dive into the anime series Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler.
It’s time for another hentai review! If your new to the blog, hentai series are something we don’t shy away from. I’ve discussed Emergence/Metamorphosis, Bible Black, Front Innocent, Sense of Values of Wine and Resort Boin, and today, we are doing another! I’ve been meaning to look at this series for a while now, as it is one I’ve really wanted to talk about. Despite coming across it quite recently, there just has been something about it that has stuck around in my mind, aside from the obvious. Join me after the cut as I take a dive into the first episode of the hentai series Kakushi Dere.
(THIS IS A HENTAI POST, SO VERY NSFW PICTURES UP AHEAD. PLEASE READ WITH DISCRETION)
(This is a reblog and edit of a previous Character Dive, because hey..this is a bit more relevant now!)
Some series are known for only one or two things. Breakout characters or jaw-dropping moments are often what immortalize a show in the minds of many. I don’t know how many conversations I’ve heard where people have said: “You just gotta watch this show for this character or this one amazing moment. Sometimes these characters become so popular and well beloved that overtake the series they are in, for good or ill. Fonze from Happy Days grew well beyond the show he was in. The character of Fraiser from Cheers found success beyond his first show. In anime, we have seen it in characters like Levi from Attack on Titanor the Gotei 13 from Bleach. Even characters who don’t overtake the show such as Dragon Ball’s Vegeta, or Naruto’s Sasuke Uchiha often find themselves elevated to a higher status because of their breakout.
Today we’ll be talking about just such a character, a character that not only completely dominates the entire show, but almost single handily can be credited for its success. I am course talking about Shimoneta’s Anna Nishikinomiya. Let’s get into it after the cut.
