Spring 2024 is humming along nicely! Lots of good shows and many sequels or follow up to seasons! Is it good though? Or has the sophomore slump that has defined this year continued? I’ll admit I haven’t yet looked at God’s Game we Play, but we’ll get to it. And Demon Slayer isn’t here yet. Still let’s check it all out after the cut as I give you my three episode check-in!

Well let’s take a dive back into the SpyxFamily and find out!

My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999: Hot Guy, Hot Girl, Comfort Food.
As exciting and fun as Shonen and high octane action anime can be, sometimes there is nothing better than some comfort food. The type of anime that you can tune in, tune out and just enjoy some low effort fun. Sometimes that is a pervy ecchi, or sometimes it is a cute and fun slice of life. These shows are no stranger to Shallow Dives in Anime and today we have another one! Is it good, or is it bleh? Well after the cut let’s take a look at My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 and find out!
Oshi no Ko: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
I was a bit nervous about breaking my ‘no-episode’ review rule, but in the end I am glad I did. Because the first episode and what this anime series was really did warrant separating the two from each other. Probably the biggest hit of the year so far, it’s time after the cut to take a look at the anime series Oshi no Ko.
My thoughts on the pilot episode can be found right here.
Buddy Daddies: Two and a Half Men
Well at least one of the shows I watched this season actually finished. Everyone else has been delayed or is restarting its run. Either way I have talked about that far enough and for now this post is on this show. Something that I think in a normal run would have either been a big hit or a sleeper one. After the cut let’s take a dive into Buddy Daddies and find out what’s what.
Bi-Weekly Booty: Hana Uzaki from Uzaki-Chan!
There’s nothing unseen about it. The Bi-Weekly Booty is Uzaki from Uzaki-Chan wants to Hang Out!
Re-Dive: Hensuki: Are you Willing to Fall in Love with A Pervert as Long as She’s a Cutie?
I’ve dabbled in several harem series throughout my blogging world, and through those highs and lows I still never felt as refreshed as I did when I watched this show. Coming out in a year where ecchi and harem shows were at an all-time low. This was an anime that was like drinking water after a drought. A fun and cute little story with a great script and plenty of cute girls to enjoy. Yet it has been a few years and this is a story I wanted to get back too. Was it as good as I said it was? Or was the fact that this was the only thing on the menu give it praise it didn’t deserve? Well we are going to find out, so join me after the cut as we Re-Dive into Hensuki: Are you Willing to Fall in Love with A Pervert as Long as She’s a Cutie?
