Anime in 2022 is halfway over, and it has been a decent year so far. Nothing amazingly special, but still solid. Now that we’ve reached the halfway point, it’s time to give out my thoughts on what I think is the best, and the worst, of the year so far. This list will no doubt change by the time the end of 2022 rolls around, but here is where I stand! Let’s get into it after the cut.
Anime in 2021 is all but over, and it has been one hell of a year. Not the all-time banger that was 2020, but plenty of good shows that I’ve enjoyed watching. I don’t watch as much as other people, but I do watch enough to throw up one of these lists. Like I did at the halfway point, it’s time to discuss the best, and the worst of this year. Granted not much has changed, but hey, a post is a post! After the cut, here are the best and worst anime in 2021.Read More »
I don’t do negative stuff on Shallow Dives in Anime. There is too much of it on the internet. But that doesn’t mean I don’t call things like it is. I love a lot of anime, but there are some that I just really don’t give a fuck about. This is a list of that stuff, but with thoughts and ideas that I think are fair and balanced. So let’s get into it after the cut.Read More »
A list of my favorite anime is not new on this blog, and frankly it hasn’t changed that much. However there hasn’t been a blog event in a long while so I figure it is time to do something. I’ve been listening to the Trash Taste Podcast, and they’ve a few episodes where they discuss their ‘3×3’, or the anime/manga/etc that are defining and important to them. I figured, why doesn’t the WordPress blogging crew try it out?
Here are the rules.
- List your 3×3. It has to be a total of nine titles. (I used https://bighugelabs.com/mosaic.php as mine)
- They can be manga, anime, light novels, whatever.
- Include an explanation (if you want) of why you chose them!
- Pass the buck to three or more bloggers.
Anime in 2021 is halfway over, and it has been a banger of a year so far. Many great shows, a bunch of really good ones, and a few that make you question the existence of god. Now that we’ve reached the halfway point, it’s time to give out my thoughts on what I think is the best, and the worst, of the year so far. This list will no doubt change by the time the end of 2021 rolls around, but here is where I stand! Let’s get into it after the cut.Read More »
A week or so ago, I was delightfully tagged to take part in a new blogging challenge! It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these, and what better way to end the week with! Much thanks to Meg from A Geeky Gal for the nod!
- Share your favorite stories—movies/books/anime/manga/drama/songs—by classifying them on these seven colors’ traits (listed below).
- Send this challenge invitation to at least one of your friends. Let them fear your superiority, as you—decide their fate.
- Link back to the original post here! And, enjoy!
- red: passionate, exciting, invigorating
- blue: peaceful, calming
- pink: romantic, caring
- orange: warm, motivating
- black: mysterious, thrilling
- green: fresh, unexpected
- white: random
Sounds quite interesting right? Let’s get into my thoughts after the cut!Read More »
As I’ve said before, the best thing about anime, one of its (many) secret sauces, is the ability to take any idea or concept and make it compelling. Yes there are many clunkers, but when an anime hits it right, it can really hit it right. How many thought a series about working at a burger place would be compelling? The Devil is a Part Timer says yes. An anime about girls fighting with their boobs and butts? Keijo!! says hi. A story about one dude being a bartender? Look no further than Bartender. And the list goes on. But there are some ideas that I think would be really cool that (to my knowledge) haven’t been done yet. After the cut, let’s take a look at five of my own ideas!Read More »
I’m doing this a little earlier than planned, but I go plenty to do this week regardless. While 2020 may have been a shit year for most people, it has been an absolute banger for anime. So many great series, so much good music (like oh my god so much good music), and so many cute girls. I already gave my thoughts on what I thought the best and worst was at the halfway point, but now it is time to show you my final selections. After the cut let’s get into the best, and worst of anime in 2020.
I like lists, do you like lists? Well I heard you like lists. A few months ago I threw out my second post that discussed my favorite lines from anime and manga. Today I’m going to do the same thing! Join me after the cut as I give you five more of my favorite lines!
Hey guys. I’m super busy with real life stuff this week, so this’ll be the last post until probably Monday, so we are going to keep it simple. I like lists, and I heard you like lists. In the same vein as when I discussed my eleven favorite anime since I started Shallow Dives. Today it is the top thirteen favorite songs since I started the blog! Let’s get into it after the cut!
