Do you like lists? I like lists, and I heard you like lists to. While I continue to get my thoughts around Shinmai Maou and finish watching No Game No Life, I decided to make a little post showing my top five WTF moments in anime and manga ranked from the least WTF to the most WTF. Some of these will be no brainers, some of these will shock you! Let’s get to it after the cut!
Do you like lists? I like lists, and I heard you like lists too. So today we have, as list! Anime and Manga have no shortage of great moments, characters and scenes, but they also have some wonderful pieces of dialogue. This post today is going to highlight just some of my favorite lines from a variety of different anime and manga series. Some are serious, some are funny, some are dubbed, others are subbed, others are strange. Let’s get into it after the cut!
The Summer season of anime is just about to get started which means we’ve now reached the halfway point for Anime 2019. So far the year has been a bit more subdued than the banner year that was 2018, but there have still been some hits. Join me after the cut as I give you my preliminary bests and worsts of everything anime has offered this year. This list is absolutely subject to change as we still got two seasons left to go!
We haven’t done a list post in a long time, mostly because Don’t @ Me has taken much of that over. However I feel like throwing up another post about music, because frankly anime music is always fun to listen to. So here are ten more of my favorite anime openings and endings after the cut!
A little while, I made a post talking about what the “Great Works” of Anime were, and I spoke about how a great work is not the best one, or the most famous, but the one that leaves behind an everlasting legacy that affects everything that comes after it. It doesn’t matter if you like the show or not, what matters is that show’s legacy and influence and it’s affect on fans of all stripes.
This week I’ll be doing my lead up to the 3-month blogging project in which I examine whether or not a certain series could be considered a great work of its genre, and also just seeing how it holds up after awhile.
For now though, I want to run off a list of the anime and manga that I think are the art-form’s great works. I don’t have one for each genre, so this is more of a personal list, of what I think are the most likely to be, or will be Great Works. Check em out after the cut.
I was leafing through some old posts and I saw that I had been tagged WAY back in Feburary by Irina from I drink and watch anime. Apologies for not getting this done earlier!
Anyway, here are the rules!
- Headline your post with “The T.A.P. Tag!” and put “tanka” as one of your tags.
- Make sure to link back to the original post that started the tag (this post!).
- Make sure to mention the person who forced introduced the tag to you!
- Pick 1-3 of your favorite anime.
- Write your tanka about the anime you’ve chosen. It’s fine if you decide to do only one or two if the schedule is tight.
- Tag at least 3 or more bloggers you know, and get their creative muscles flowing
Well, let’s get this started, check out my poems after the cut.
We all love Waifus, but there are also those female and male fans who prefer the men of the medium, the so called Husbandos. Anyway, here is a top ten list of the so called “best” husbandos according to my sister who begged me to make this list, along with my comments. Check it out after the cut.
